External compliance audits and third-party attestations (e.g., SOC 2) have become more essential in B2B purchasing choices in today's digital era. Audits not only offer objective third-party verification of a vendor's security/compliance posture, but they also give valuable information regarding the weak links or gaps in an organization's internal control system.
