Analysis of Stone Crushing Industry with Reference to Stone Crusher Abstract In the Chotonagpur Plateau and Gangetic Plain, the Dwarka River basin (3882.71 km2) in Eastern India is severely affected by stone mining and crushing dust. This basin has 239 stone mines and 982 stone crushing units in its middle catchment. Each year, they produce approximately 258120 tones of dust, which enters the river and coats plant leaves. In addition to aggravating the stream bed, increasing sediment load, and decreasing water quality, specifically increasing total dissolved solids, pH and water color, this also degrades the vegetation quality of the streambed.. NDVI values are also declining, indicating that the quality of the vegetation is deteriorating (maximum NDVI in 1990 was 0.70 and in 2016 it was 0.48).
