Design and Development of Web Based Airline Reservation System ABSTRACT Previously, application developers had to cope with problems with distributed system technologies while developing applications, mostly owing to their lack of responsiveness towards business processes, expensive modifications, and poor reusability. SOA is an architectural solution that emphasizes loose coupling and dynamic binding between services, and one way to embracing SOA is via web services. The traditional method to software design and implementation is contrasted with the service-oriented approach to web service realization. Because of its great reusability, we embrace IBM's SOA methodology (SOMA) and see its application in the area of airline reservation services.
