Quality for Competitive Advantage and Profitability - A Case study Abstract Organisations in the United States have made quality a priority, and most companies have spent millions of dollars on quality operations in order to achieve defect-free manufacturing . The purpose of this study is to investigate how quality becomes a competitive advantage in various companies. It lists some of the organisations that received the Malcolm Baldrige Award in 2012, as well as the criteria that qualified them for the honour. The article developed a model called Performance Excellance, which depicts the factors that contribute to an organization's excellent performance. The article, on the other hand, attempts to demonstrate what quality means from the viewpoint of the consumer. A study of 100 smartphone users was performed to determine which features consumers like and whether or not they are of high quality.
