Design and Development of Web Based Airline Reservation System
Design and Development of Web Based Airline Reservation System
ABSTRACT
Previously, application developers had to cope with problems with distributed system technologies while developing applications, mostly owing to their lack of responsiveness towards business processes, expensive modifications, and poor reusability. SOA is an architectural solution that emphasizes loose coupling and dynamic binding between services, and one way to embracing SOA is via web services.
The traditional method to software design and implementation is contrasted with the service-oriented approach to web service realization. Because of its great reusability, we embrace IBM's SOA methodology (SOMA) and see its application in the area of airline reservation services. We defined and executed the service engineering methodology, as well as developed the client programmer to call and combine the deployed airline reservation web services.
Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), online services, airline reservations, and reusability are all index terms.
INTRODUCTION
Companies in the air services industry are striving to carefully control costs while increasing operational performance and overall customer service in response to direct economic and competitive challenges. Application consolidation and modernization are increasingly recognized as critical requirements for airlines striving to convert themselves into more agile and competitive businesses. As a result, an increasing number of air services companies are examining the needs, capabilities, and advantages of a service-oriented architecture (SOA) for possible implementation.
The air services sector is undergoing significant transformation as a result of powerful trends. Low-cost carrier competition, e-commerce development, and new safety and regulatory requirements are all changing the sector and individual carriers. Airlines must priorities cost, pricing, and yield in order to survive and thrive. To fulfil such needs, many firms are increasingly looking into methods to leverage their IT infrastructures to convert their operations into more flexible, lucrative enterprises.
CONCLUSION
As a consequence of its deployment, the SOA method reduced the development time of web services. The services developed are reusable and adaptable, allowing them to be combined with other web service applications. To summaries, SOA is a buzzword today, and many companies and sectors are racing to implement it in order to gain a competitive edge in service delivery. However, it is critical to ensure that the appropriate strategy is chosen and that the necessary skills are in place to guarantee effective implementation. It is advised to choose a strategy or technique for adoption practice based on the main business reasons.
