Abstract

Six-Sigma is a well-known and well-recognized methodology for developing manufacturing strategies. Companies who have successfully implemented such a technique have been shown to be more creative, which has resulted in higher revenue. Customer satisfaction is up, and the bottom line is up. The goal of this research is to discover using the Analytic Hierarchy Process, criteria for effective Six Sigma implementation (AHP). The research is divided into four phases: (1) evaluation of potential factors and performance measures in Six Sigma implementation; (2) development of the 31 problem structure and construction of the AHP model; (3) soliciting and compiling expert opinion on preferences through expert interviews; and (4) determination of critical success 33 factors.
