ABSTRACT

The article examines the current e-learning system in Bhutan and discusses some of its shortcomings. A unique lifelong learning system designed especially for Bhutanese schooling is introduced. The article covers the goals and achievements of a new lifelong e-learning prototype - the Bhutanese e-learning system. It is a prototype that may be modified to fulfil a variety of functions in order to engage students and increase their involvement. 

The system also functions as a basic student information system, giving student information; however, development and integration of additional features, such as a result management system, may be beneficial. Lifelong learning, remote learning, e-learning, and a responsive online system are examples of keywords.

INTRODUCTION

Bhutan understands the idea of remote education and is eager to implement it, as does the rest of the globe. At the moment, the Royal University of Bhutan is Bhutan's only university. In 2017, 10500 students took the BHSEC (Bhutan Higher Secondary Education Council) test, and only 2507 were accepted to the Royal University of Bhutan with scholarships. The remaining pupils applied to study outside of the nation for a degree or certificate. Aside from housing and travelling costs, these tuitions were very costly. SUMMARY AND FUTURE WORK

E-learning may be used at all stages of education, from elementary school to graduate school, and is adaptable enough to suit all learning styles. The Bhutanese e-learning system enables distant learning by allowing individuals to sign up for courses and study online. This method supplements face-to-face instruction with text, file, audio, and video.
