MBA Operations - A Critical Review On Supply Chain Practices
MBA Operations - A Critical Review On Supply Chain Practices
Abstract
The study of supply chain risk management (SCRM) is on the increase, despite the fact that it is still in its infancy. Literature is still lacking in terms of critical analysis of its substance. For evaluating the subject, the SCRM literature seems to need research that use risk typology, sources of risk, and other methods. The goal of this study is to fill in the gaps by combining data from 343 papers published in 85 journals. This research also provides a systematic critical examination of the content of SCRM in order to suggest future research areas.

Introduction
Supply chain management (SCM) is critical in today's world of globalisation assisting businesses to stay competitive and integrated with global markets a source of supply Throughout all of its phases, the supply chain (SC) must handle the movement of a huge quantity of data and a diversity of goods. Organizations must deliver in the correct numbers, to the right locations, at the right time, at the lowest possible cost, and with the best possible customer service. The SC, like any other system, is vulnerable to different kinds of risk, which may come from upstream or downstream. These risks may arise from external causes such as natural catastrophes, economic crises, terrorist attacks, or internal activities such as supply disruptions, security breaches, and so on.

Conclusion
Multiple taxonomies have been created in this article to better comprehend the contributions and efforts of academics, researchers, and practitioners in the field of SCRM. An SLR method was developed to identify, find, select, and evaluate the existing SCRM literature in a systematic way so that the state of the art for SCRM research could be presented. The articles that were gathered in this manner were then examined and summarised (see Figure 1). The article categorization system is unusual in that it included not only generic components but also risk-based entities, as well as providing an RMP-based classification, content analysis, and synthesis of existing SCRM literature.
