To Find the Level of Deployment of IT in Automobile and Textile Industry in India
Abstract
The wonderful achievements of the textile industry are documented in Indian history. Currently, the Indian textile industry is one of our country's most important industries, not only in terms of output but also in terms of foreign exchange earnings and job creation. For example, it accounts for approximately 14% of industrial production, 4% of GDP, and 17% of the country's export earnings. The major importers of textiles in the world are the United States, the European Union, and Canada. Asia has been the primary sourcing region for both the United States and the European Union's textile and clothing imports. The current paper makes an attempt to analyze the trend and growth of the Indian textile industry.
Introduction
The textile industry, also known as an agro-based industry, is reliant on the agricultural sector for raw materials. After China, India is the world's second largest producer of textiles. It is the world's third largest cotton producer, after China and the United States, and the world's second largest cotton consumer, after China. The textile industry in India is one of the country's oldest and largest manufacturing sectors. With a massive raw material and textile manufacturing base, India's textile industry is one of the world's second largest.
Conclusion
After China, India is the world's second largest producer of textiles and garments. It is the world's third largest cotton producer, trailing only China and the United States, and the world's second largest cotton consumer, trailing only China. The textile and garment industry in India is one of the country's oldest and largest manufacturing sectors. The textile and garment industry is critical to the Indian economy. It is a major foreign exchange earner and, after agriculture, the largest employer, employing 35 million people.
