ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of training kinds on employee job satisfaction at First Bank Nig. Plc in Asaba, Delta State. This research work's sources or data were both primary and secondary data. To get respondents' opinions, a structured Likert scale questionnaire was used. In order to obtain sufficient information from respondents, the stratified sampling method was also used. 

The findings revealed that vestibule, on-the-job training, role modelling, and other training methods are currently the strategic options pursued by service firms in order to develop their organizational asset. It was concluded that training types have a direct relationship with employees' job satisfaction in that their individual potentials are equipped and developed.

INTRODUCTION

Employee training has become a key preoccupation in contemporary corporate development objectives. To accomplish this fundamental goal of development and profitability, both management and workers must enhance their contributions to the company. This is due to the fact that an organization's success is a function of the aggregate performance of its workers.

A growing nation like Cameroon, with its abundant natural resources and financial backing, may achieve similar economic success provided enough attention is paid to the development and training of its people resources. People are involved in all areas and operations of an organization. A manager, for example, will not be effective if his subordinates lack the necessary skills, knowledge, ability, and competence (SKAC).

CONCLUSION

The primary premise of this chapter is to show how job training influences workers' job training satisfaction, which then influences job satisfaction and, as a result, job performance and turnover intentions. Although training is an important technique for helping companies acquire a competitive edge and its goal is to assist workers develop job-related skills, job training satisfaction cannot be reached without a well-planned and structured training programmed. That is, it is essential to do a requirements assessment at the start of the training programmer design in order for learning to occur, which includes organizational analysis, person analysis, and task analysis. 

The learner-centered learning paradigm, which has lately been highlighted, may be regarded as a preferable method while performing training design and delivery throughout training since it increases learners' learning motivation and learning engagement.
