A Comparative Study on Customer Preference on Mobile Communication
Abstract
Every business relies on telecommunications to function. However, even in this industry, the service providers are in a fierce battle. It's easier for subscribers to switch from one service provider to another because there's only a slight difference in the services provided by the different cellular service providers. This means that the Mobile service provider must have a thorough understanding of customers' preferences and the influence of various Demographic variables. There is a dramatic increase in the number of mobile communication service providers in Coimbatore and Tirupur Town. As of now, the market is dominated by a handful of private (AIRCEL) and public (BSNL) players.
Introduction
Communicating involves sending information from one source to another, and receiving it back. In terms of importance, personal communication is the most important type. Globally, people want to stay in touch, whether for work or pleasure. When it comes to communication methods like E-mail, Chat and Video Conferencing there is no doubt that the telephone is still the most reliable one. Getting a call or making a call while moving around the house is difficult. Hence, the cordless telephone concept was born. In and around the home, the cordless telephone system is intended for use. Using cellular phones, people were able to communicate wirelessly for the first time. To avoid missing out on important business opportunities, people no longer need to be tied down at one place just to make a phone call anymore.
Conclusion
This study examines the impact of demographic variables on the level of satisfaction of mobile users, as well as the mobile user's behavioral patterns. Public and private service providers are advised to focus on Demographic variables in order to improve customer satisfaction. Customer expectations can be deduced from usage patterns as well. As a result of this understanding, OTHERS' coverage should be expanded. As for BSNL, it should priorities customer service and promotional measures. Nevertheless, customers expect more facilities (add-on) and a complete coverage of the wireless signal spectrum. The service providers should pay attention to this aspect so that they can give their best efforts.
