Introduction
Material management is an integrated management approach to the planning, buying, warehousing, storekeeping, allocation, and transportation of necessary material from the source to the user department. It may also be described as the process of buying, storing, controlling, and transporting commodities and supplies.
Material and resource management is a young field. The relative importance of what is commonly referred to as the five “m” which includes machine, materials, men, money, and management during the twentieth century rapid growth and the attendant industrial growth and the attendant shift of production is usually referred to as the five “m” which includes machine, materials, men, money, and management.
The renowned industrial revolution was about the complexity of materials and the amount of production, which turned out to be the most expensive components in any organisation.
Objective
The following are the primary goals of the research:
1. Determine if the business uses accounting tools and methods to keep its goods in good condition.
2. To discover how Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc effectively handled their stuff.
3. To learn how resources have been used
4. Determine whether or not there is material waste.
5. Examine the importance of materials management and resource use in production.
Scope of the Study
The purpose of this research is to highlight the significance of materials management and resource usage in Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc as a case study.
