Effect of Motivation on Employee Performance - MBA HR
Effect of Motivation on Employee Performance - MBA HR
Introduction
One of the most significant elements influencing human behaviours is motivation. Motivation influences not just other cognitive factors such as perception and learning, but also an individual's overall performance in an organisational environment. This is why managers should place a high value on motivation in the workplace (Prasad, 2005). One of the most essential strategies for keeping workers and increasing productivity seems to be motivation. Organizations create incentive systems to motivate workers to perform optimally and to attract prospective recruits. Giving prizes and incentives for excellent performance is one of several methods to encourage workers (Memmott and Growers, 2012).
Every human being has a drive to accomplish something; organisations with smart management should undertake study on such human behaviours as well as effective and efficient ways to attain organisational goals. In such cases, motivation is critical since it allows for greater use of resources as well as employees' skills and capacities (Scott, 1987).
