Introduction

Due to increasing rivalry in the international hotel business, one of the most essential elements for preserving hotels' competitive advantage is the development of the quality of the offered services. Hospitality services are intangible, inseparable from the service provider, non-standardized, and perishable. Because of these service attributes, the evaluation of service quality is primarily subjective and resides primarily with the customers.

Given that the tangible element (e.g., facilities) of the service offer in the luxury hotel industry is highly standardized, reflecting the strong branding of international hotel chains, the services offered by employees are the part of the product that is usually difficult to be standardized. As a result, human-resource (HR) policies, procedures, and the provision of suitable employee incentives are critical for creating an environment that encourages customer-oriented behaviours.

Conclusion

Overall, the findings of the current survey show that the majority of the workers in our sample were concerned about financial incentives as well as chances for personal growth, particularly via the availability of seminars held by their employers. Furthermore, this study revealed that gender, age, and job experience all had an interaction impact. Male workers showed a higher preference than their female counterparts for the planning and involvement in activities and excursions planned by their individual businesses, as well as for acknowledgment, appreciation, and praise for work done in terms of the best employee of the month.
