Impact of Team Work on Organizational Productivity

Impact of Team Work on Organizational Productivity

Abstract

Teamwork is a key component of team performance that necessitates an explanation of how a team acts and has the potential to allow team members to have a better degree of emotional stability, self-confidence, and the capacity to positively plan and decide with others. The advantages of collaboration for workers, on the other hand, are often more abstract and harder to identify, which may impede corporate productivity. This research aims to add to the literature on the effect of collaboration on organisational productivity in commercial banks.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of collaboration on organisational productivity in Nepalese commercial banks. Structured questionnaires were sent to 500 respondents from 27 Nepalese commercial banks, however only 350 answers were collected and analysed. To investigate the connection between organisational productivity (dependent variable) and independent factors, descriptive and casual comparative study designs are employed.

Teamwork, defined as group work with a common objective of achieving goals, focuses on the shared actions, attitudes, and cognitions required for teams to complete tasks. Understanding the impact of teamwork on performance is important because teamwork is viewed as one of the key driving forces for improving a firm's performance by some researchers.

Conclusion

It has been observed that teamwork, team trust, training and development, working environment, and esprit de corps affect organisational productivity. The most significant of these variables is the working environment. Employees are more pleased with a better working environment, but they also evaluate collaboration, team trust, training and growth, and spirit of the organisation. To improve organisational efficiency, Nepalese commercial banks should concentrate on increasing quick reaction to team trust, suitable training and development, a better working environment, and good collaboration.
