Abstract
For a well-established regional bank based in India, E-Banking is an application that was created. e-banking is a concept that aims to bring the bank closer to its customers and improve its basic operational strategies. The bank wants to introduce IT-enabled services through E-Banking (ITES). Only the customer has access to the E-Banking services. These E-Banking services would be fully integrated with the existing core banking solution.
Using ATMs, internet banking, and mobile banking, a variety of services are offered to the customer, allowing him or her to complete simple tasks without having to visit the bank every time. As a result of such an innovative development, electronic banking was born. Customer awareness and satisfaction levels with e-banking services are the focus of this paper. This study reveals that customers have a moderate level of awareness of e-banking services and a neutral level of satisfaction with them.
Introduction
E-banking growth and development in India are still in their infancy stages. In the last five years, banking has undergone a transformation due to competition, technological advancements, and changes in lifestyle. The changes that have taken place impose strict competition and compliance standards on banks. These days, organizations cannot function without information technology. It is no secret that banks today operate in a highly globalized and competitive environment that is liberalized, privatized and globalized.
Banks must use IT to survive in this environment. IT has ushered in a new era of business. In the banking industry, it is playing an increasingly important role in improving services. As a result of rapid changes in information technology, the Indian banking industry has experienced tremendous growth.
Men made up the majority of respondents, with the majority of respondents falling within the 26-40 age range. A majority of respondents worked as professionals, earning between 3 and 15 lakhs a year. Postgraduates made up the majority of the group. There was also some confusion about what e-banking is and that the satisfaction level was neutral. To raise public awareness and satisfaction, banks must take a number of steps. Customers must be convinced of the benefits and security of e-banking. Electronic banking services and their various modes of delivery must be fully satisfactory in every way.
