Abstract
The study's goal was to assess the role of staff development in the efficient administration of federal government parastatals in the NEPA, Enugu District. For this study, research questions were created to serve as a guide. A review of the literature was conducted to inform the researcher of what has previously been done in order to guarantee that the study's conclusions are sound. The researcher developed and conducted a structured questionnaire to 210 people. As a consequence, it was suggested that there be a continuous supply of resources to guarantee the accomplishment of goals, appropriate job assignment following training, and a strong political will to provide staff welfare and motivating facilities.

Introduction
Electricity, according to Tuoyo (1982), plays a critical role in the social and economic growth of any nation, and indeed any business, in the industrial era. He further said that without power, commercial and industrial activity might be halted. Nigeria's National Power Corporation and the Niger Dams Authority are responsible for the development and allocation of electricity in the country. As a result, NEPA was established with the aim of developing the enormous Nigerian primary power resources as consumers. Positive (2.50 and above) and negative (2.49 and below) answers were determined using a likert-type point scale. In order to analyse the study issue, mean and standard deviation were utilised. Inadequate resources, difficulties accomplishing stated goals, incorrect work or duty schedules, severe effect of political will and leadership on staff welfare, and non-relationship between training and employment or return are some of the main findings based on the above.
