Introduction

This dissertation demonstrates how logistical information may be understood and used to improve patient flow. Conclusion

The study in this dissertation is predicated on reasons to be optimistic about the ability of logistics management expertise to provide treatment with shorter lead times, cheaper costs, and better service to patients. As a result, an investigation into how logistics management theories might be operationalized to benefit healthcare organisations has been undertaken. In general, systems theory does this by bridging the gap between logistics management theories and the healthcare environment. Systems theory is concerned with social systems in which individuals collaborate and actions are carried out in order to accomplish a shared goal.
