Abstract

Employee interactions are one of the most important basic components of business success, profitability, and long-term viability. Employees who are dedicated, driven, and loyal to their companies are the consequence of good employee relations. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of employee relations on employee performance and organisational performance, as well as to identify different employee relations methods employed by small businesses in Tanzania.

The study utilized a cross-sectional survey research methodology and stratified random sampling to recruit 387 respondents from chosen small businesses in Tanzania. Structured questionnaires and interviews were used to gather data, which was then analysed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, and the findings were presented in tables. The study's results indicate that small businesses in Tanzania are aware of the advantages of maintaining excellent employee relations and are taking corrective measures to reduce bad employee relations in the company.
